BIG news today from Universal Orlando Resort and Loews Hotels as they’ve announced the expansion of Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Four-hundred new rooms will be added to the retro-themed hotel, in thanks to the tremendous success and positive guest response since opening in March 2014.
This expansion will be located at the south end of the resort, adjacent to the Continental and Americana towers – closest to the lazy river pool.
Set to open in 2017, these rooms are will offer spectacular views of Universal’s Volcano Bay – the resort’s upcoming water theme park also set to open in 2017.
My family and I love the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, especially because of the family suites options. It gives us more room to spread out as a family and we can still watch television and relax once the girls are asleep.
The on-site dining options are great (hello, Icees!), two pools and a lazy river, an on-site bowling alley a full-service Starbucks in the lobby and the overall retro theme make Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort one of my favorite places to stay.
