Christmas came early this year at the Gaylord Palms Resort as they just announced their holiday theme for the 2015 season.
This year, the holiday favorite ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas will be featured in nearly 2 million pounds of hand-carved vibrant ice sculptures at this year’s ICE! presented by Pepsi attraction. And the fun takes place daily from November 24, 2015 – January 3, 2016, including holidays.

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
In addition to seeing the 2 million pounds of ice carvings, families can also take part in the four slippery ice slides, live carving stations inside of the Artisans in Action Frostbite Factory and back by popular demand, On the Blocks, the exclusive adult-only ICE! bar.
I’m also pretty excited to hear about the return of the Alpine Rush Snow Tubing – an 18’ 8-lane giant snow hill created with 1.5 million pounds of real Florida snow. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

The Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt
The new Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt is something I really think my girls would enjoy doing at the resort. Families can follow clues throughout the hotel to find 10 scout elves that have landed at the resort.
By solving puzzles and locating the elves, families can report their findings back to Santa. All families that participate in the hunt receive a special prize. Besides having fun (and the prize, of course!) it sounds like a great way to explore the resort too.

Cirque Dreams Unwrapped
And perhaps the biggest news of the holiday season – the all-new Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show is coming to the Gaylord Palms Resort. The 25-minute Christmas themed show will take place at the Emerald Bay Stage with imaginative costumes and Broadway-style theatrics.
I’ve never seen a Cirque show, so I’m really excited to hear that this one will be Christmas themed — definitely sounds like something my girls are going to love too.

More Holiday Fun
In addition to ICE, the Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show, the scavenger hunt — there is even more holiday fun.
Families can meet Santa in Santa’s Workshop in Alpine Village and in the morning, have brunch with Mrs. Claus at Villa de Flora, one of the resort’s many on-site restaurants.
The resort’s atrium gardens with over 500,000 plants and sprinkled with poinsettias will have grand holiday displays. And you won’t be able to miss seeing the famous 54-foot-tall majestic Christmas tree and more than 2 million twinkling lights.

We haven’t been to ICE! at Gaylord Palms yet, but I’m hoping to get there this year. It looks like a fantastic way to celebrate the holiday season.
