Cruise News: Carnival Fantasy Coming to Mobile, Alabama

Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that the Carnival Fantasy will begin operating a year-long schedule out of Mobile, Alabama with four- and five-day cruises to Mexico beginning in fall 2016.

A Look at the New Sailings

Carnival Fantasy’s first sailing in Mobile kicks off Nov. 9, 2016 and will run through Nov. 27, 2017. On Thursday sailings, the ship will go on four-day “long weekend” cruises to Cozumel and on Mondays and Saturdays sailings depart for five-day voyages to Costa Maya or Progreso.

Excursions include snorkeling, scuba diving, shopping and dining adventures and visits to ancient Mayan ruins.

FunShip 2.0 Enhancements Coming to Carnival Fantasy

Prior to its first sailing on November 9, 2016 the ship will undergo a multi-million-dollar refurbishment adding several Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements including Guy’s Burger Joint,  the RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, and the BlueIguana Cantina Mexican-themed eatery.

This ship also features a 12,000-square-foot spa, a WaterWorks aqua park featuring a 300-foot-long slide and a kiddie splash area, and a Serenity adults-only retreat, as well as supervised programs for kids ages 2-17, full casino gambling and a wide array of dining options.
