6 Unique Reasons to Love Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

As part of my role as the VISIT FLORIDA Family Insider, my family and I visited Universal Orlando Resort recently and we couldn’t have been more excited to stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

While I had the opportunity to stay there last year, this will be my kiddos first visit to the resort and I couldn’t wait to introduce them to all of the fun things our ‘home away from home’ has to offer families.

Here’s a look at what families can expect at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

6 reasons to love Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Family Suites

In addition to typical hotel rooms, the resort has family suites that can sleep up to six people. The suites include two queen-size beds, a fold-out bed in the living space, a kitchenette with microwave and a mini-fridge, two flat-screen TVs and an oversized bathroom. Parents can enjoy the extra space once the kids are in bed!

Retro Feel

With a 1950s and ‘60s vibe, the resort definitely sets up a retro feel that’s fun and comfortable. From the V05 shampoo and Zest soap in the bathrooms to the hip artwork on the walls, this resort is themed perfectly. Be on the lookout for old-school cars out front, too – the perfect setting for a fun hotel.

Galaxy Bowl

The 10-lane bowling alley located inside the resort’s main building is a fantastic spot to have some indoor fun. With bowling alley food and speciality drinks, grab some bowling shoes and challenge your family to a game. They even offer cosmic bowling too!

Bayliner Diner

The on-site, quick-service diner offers meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s even an Icee machine with four different flavors – perfect after a day at the parks. The resort also offers refillable mugs for purchase while at the resort, definitely a money saver if you’re a soda drinker.

Outdoor Fun

From the Lazy River Courtyard to the Cabana Courtyard with a waterslide and zero-entry pool, this resort is like a waterpark in itself. There’s even a secured area for families with small children to partake in the fun with a mini-splash waterpark. Poolside cabanas are available for daily rentals complete with a fan, television and a mini-refrigerator.

I’m looking forward to this weekend’s visit and keeping my fingers crossed for great weather too.  This resort is the type of place you could stay at and never even need to visit the parks… unless you needed a Butter beer!
